Career Summary

Jordan Leslie came to BYU as the leading receiver from the University of Texas at El Paso. He started in all 13 games during his first and only season at BYU while earning letterman honors. He was the second-leading receiver with 779 yards on 55 receptions with six touchdowns. Leslie recorded a personal-best 135 receiving yards and had a career-long 83-yard touchdown catch against Cal.   • Signed free agent deal with the Minnesota Vikings; later signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars; then the Atlanta Falcons

Before BYU

  • Led UTEP with 44 receptions for 612 yards and 7 touchdown catches on 2-10 Miner team in 2013 
  • Averaged 13.9 yards per catch with a long reception of 75 yards
  • Earned All-Conference USA honorable mention and Phil Steele All-Conference USA Third Team honors 
  • Compiled eight career 100-yard receiving games, tying for the eighth-most in UTEP history 
  • Registered three consecutive showings in 2013 with 100 yards receiving 
  • As a sophomore in 2012 being coached by current BYU receivers coach Guy Holliday, led the Miners in receptions (51), yards per catch (19.1), yards per game (81.1) and overall receiving yards (973) and ranked second on the squad in touchdown catches (6)  
  • Set career highs for both single-game receptions (10) and yards (218) while becoming the sixth Miner with 200-plus receiving yards in a game at Tulsa 
  • As a freshman in 2011, appeared in 12 contests, recording 30 catches for 430 yards and 2 touchdowns 

Personal

  • Graduated from UTEP with a degree in electrical engineering
  • Recipient of the football team's Dr. Diana Natalicio Academic Award as a freshman and received multiple C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and C-USA All-Academic team honor

  • Caught seven passes for 85 yards including a long of 27 in 41-7 win over Texas
  • Led the team in receiving (six receptions, 79 yards) for the second consecutive game in 33-25 victory over Houston
  • Recorded his first touchdown as a Cougar and also led the team with four recpetions for 41 yards vs Virginia
  • Against Utah State, set a personal best at BYU in receiving yards (135) and added his longest reception as a Cougar (53)
  • Phil Steele Midseason All-Independent Team
  • Caught second touchdown of the year on a 3rd-and-6 pass from Stewart with 9:24 left in the third quarter, helping the Cougars take a 14-7 lead in the win over Middle Tennessee
  • Scored his first career rushing touchdown on the longest rush of his career (30 yards) after Christian Stewart connected with him on a lateral pass
  • Hauled in five receptions for a season-high 155 yards with two touchdowns including a career-long 83-yard touchdown catch with 11:49 left in the fourth quarter to put the Cougars up 35-28 and the go-ahead 38-yard touchdown catch with 2:39 left in the game
  • Was the second-leading receiver for BYU this season with 779 yards on 55 receptions with six touchdowns
  • Earned letterman honors while starting all 13 games 
  • Named to the College Sports Madness All-Independent Second Team
