- As a junior, started at offensive right guard, left tackle and was the team’s deep snapper
- Selected to the 2013 All-District 16-5A Second Team and academic all-district for three years
- Coached by George Hermann as a sophomore, Howard McMahan as a junior and Jason Cecil as a senior
- Recruited by Oregon State, UTEP, North Texas and Nevada.
