High School - Named 3A MVP by the Deseret News and the Salt Lake Tribune...first-team all-state selection as a junior and senior...all-region three consecutive years...set records for most passing yards in a single game (390), season (3,204), career (6,312), most TDs in a season (33) and career (64)...lettered three times in football and tennis at Provo High School...team won region championship two consecutive years and went undefeated during regular season his junior year...won school's first-ever state title his senior year...coached by Frank Henderson (Weber State).
Completed 135 passes in 241 attempts for 1,537 yards and 15 touchdowns while playing for the junior varsity...appeared once in a varsity game (New Mexico).
