Parents are Allen and Lois...served an LDS mission to Hawai'i...married to Maile Keone and they have a daughter...recruited by Utah and Utah State.
Before BYU
High School - Attended Emery County High, where he lettered three times in football and once eahc in track, wrestling and baseball...second team all-state in '81 and first team in '82...region heavyweight wrestling champion...team captain and outstanding defensive player...coached by Dean Nelson (BYU) and Greg Cool (Weber State).
Played with the junior varsity.
Started most of the games at left tackle...had 36 tackles, a fumble recovery and three sacks...started all but three games at left tackle.
Started the first two games and then broke his leg in the win over Texas and missed the rest of the season.
