Parents are George and Janeal...two older brothers each played football at Ricks College and then Fullerton college...likes singing, acting, playing ukulele and guitar...is half Hawai'ian...served LDS mission to Tallahassee, Florida out of high school...recruited out of junior college by San Diego State, Hawai'i, Arizona State and Cal-Fullerton...majoring in business and minoring in music.

Before BYU

High School - At Sonora High School in Brea, he was team captain and was all-league...played linebacker and offensive guard...coached by Ray Lawson.

Junior College - Attended Fullerton College from 1985-86 where he was All-South Coast League and honorable mention All-America...was team cpatain and voted outstanding offensive lineman...helped team to a conference title...made the President's Academic List.

Earned starting berth at left guard in the fifth game and was there the rest of the season.

Moved to center in spring practice to replace Brian Rodoni.
