Parents are Barry and Jackie...enjoys participating in basketball and golf...married Rachelle Carlson in July 1990, they have a son, Tyler...recruited by Air Force, Arizona, Stanford and Washington...majoring in secondary education.

Before BYU

Graduated from Santa Rita High...lettered three years in basketball and two years each in football and track...named Arizona Player of the Year in 1988.

Freshman Year 1990

Had a 25-yard reception against Colorado State...had touchdown catches at Utah and a 35-yarder to open the scoring against Utah State.

Sophmore Year 1991

Moved from wide receiver to running back during spring drills...ranked 14th nationally in receiving yards per game (84.83)...second team All-WAC and Academic All-WAC...selected as the outstanding receiver by the coaching staff...his 97-yard TD catch against Utah was the longest in school history and was one of three TD catches for him in that game, consequently he was named WAC Offensive Player of the Week...that 97-yarder was the longest in the NCAA for the season...also had three TD catches at Colorado State...his nine catches for 230 yards at New Mexico was the sixth best in school history...tipped a TD pass five times at the goal line against UTEP that became a television highlight replay...had five catches for 126 yards against UTEP...caught a 30-yard TD pass at the Pigskin Classic against Florida State...started 10 games...named receiver of the game by the coaches against Penn State, Utah State, UTEP, New Mexico, Colorado State, San Diego State and Utah.

Junior Year 1992

Caught a 69-yard pass in spring game...led NCAA in receiving yards per game after utah State...chosen as outstanding receiver of the week vs. UTEP, San Diego State and Utah State...named team co-captain...fourth at BYU in career receiving yards after his second 1,000-yard season...was the ESPN/Wrangler Player of the Game vs. San Diego State...a first team All-WAC selection and named to the Academic All-WAC, GTE Academic All-District team and the GTE second team Academic All-America squad...had nine receptions against SDSU and Wyoming...made a 77-yard touchdown catch in the Homecoming matchup with Fresno State.

Senior Year 1993

An All-America candidate...has a career 24 TD receptions and needs just one touchdown to tie the school record.
