Lettered in football, baseball, soccer and track at Temescal Canyon High...was named All-CIF, all-county, all-league and all-valley in football...as a senior he was Blue Chip All-American, all-state, All-southern section, All-CIF (MVP), All-county (MVP), all-league (MVP), All-valley (MVP), and All-Inland Empire...team won the CIF Championship in football as a senior...in baseball as a senior he was All-CIF, all-county, all-league and all-valley...in soccer as a junior he was all-league and all-valley...ran the 40 in 4.40.

Freshman Year 1997

Caught three passes for 15 yards in spring game...played nickel back against Hawai'i...saw action in a total of eight games...gained 163 yards in kickoff returns, including a 44-yard return for a touchdown against SMU...averaged 23.3 yards per return.

Sophmore Year 1998

Started in nine of the Cougars' 14 games... ranked third among receivers on the BYU roster, recording 468 yards receiving on 25 receptions...averaged 18.7 yards per catch and 36.0 yards per game...recorded two touchdowns on the season, including a 31-yarder from Kevin Feterik against New Mexico and a career-high 74-yard bomb from Feterik in the Cougars' 26-6 upset over Arizona State...returned two kickoffs for 43 yards, averaging 21.5 yards per return...received coaches' recognition for performance in games against Washington, UNLV, San Jose State and New Mexico...led the team in receiving in four games, including a 92-yard effort against San Jose State.

Junior Year 1999

Listed as a starter in all eleven regular-season games at wide receiver collected 43 receptions for 472 yards with two touchdowns, averaged 11.0 yards per reception ranked second on the team in receptions and third in receiving yards for the season had a game-high six receptions against Virginia, collecting 45 yards with one touchdown earned coaches' receiving award for his performance against San Diego State made four receptions for 35 yards against the Aztecs.

Senior Year 2000

Caught 23 passes for 278 yards in eight games...averaged 12.1 yards per catch and 34.8 yards per game...had a season-high five receptions for 57 yards against San Diego State...named coaches receiver of the game versus New Mexico in which he caught three passes for 54 yards, including a season-long 21 yard reception.
