Jonny Neeley has been a member of the BYU women's volleyball coaching staff the past four seasons, working with the Cougar hitters and as the staff liaison with alumni and other department offices.

Since joining the program starting with the 2016 season, BYU has gone 116-14 (.892) overall and 66-6 (.917) in the WCC over the past four years. In 2018, Neeley and the Cougars were ranked No. 1 for 11-consecutive weeks as they won their first 27 matches, claiming the WCC title and advancing to the NCAA Final Four before finishing with a No. 4 ranking.

The Cougars also won WCC championships in Neeley's first three seasons, advancing to the Sweet 16 each year. In all, eight different Cougars have received 12 All-America citations since 2016, including hitters Roni Jones-Perry, a national player of the year finalist, McKenna Miller and Amy Boswell.

Prior to joining BYU women’s volleyball, Neeley spent two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, helping the Lions to a school-record 28-straight wins in 2015 and a run to the NCAA Division II national semifinals in 2014.

Before joining the UAFS coaching staff, Neeley spent three years coaching club and school volleyball in Russellville, Arkansas. He led his school team to its first-ever conference championship and an overall three-year record of 86-15. Neeley also coached club and school ball in California and Utah, including guiding Pleasant Grove High School to two-consecutive state finals, including the state championship in 2009.

Neeley played volleyball at Hart High School in Southern California, where he earned multiple all-league and team honors. He earned a bachelor's degree from BYU in physical education teaching and coaching with a minor in health education in 2011 and a master's of education degree from the University of Arkansas in 2016.
