Hall named Offensive Player of the Week by College Sports Madness
PROVO, Utah — BYU sophomore quarterback Jaren Hall has been named the Independent Offensive Player of the Week for week 10 of the 2021 season by College Sports Madness.
Hall completed 20 of 25 passes for 298 yards and four touchdowns in No. 14 BYU's 59-14 win over Idaho State. He also rushed for 14 yards and a touchdown. He as just the fourth BYU quarterback to throw for at least four touchdowns and run for one in the same game.
Despite missing two games due to injury, Hall has thrown for 1,995 yards (249.4 per game) and compiled 260 yards rushing in 2021. He has completed 152 of 235 passes with 16 touchdowns for an efficiency rating of 155.9. He has also scored three rushing touchdowns.
Hall and BYU running back Tyler Allgeier have combined to win five CSM Independent Offensive Player of the Week awards in 2021. Allgeier was honored in week five (Utah State), eight (Washington State) and nine (Virginia) while, while Hall received the honor in week seven (Utah State) and 10 (Idaho State).
