PROVO, Utah –The BYU women's swimming and diving team competes against the defending National Champion, University of California, Berkeley Friday at 5 p.m. MDT at the Richards Building Pool.

“We are looking forward to competing against Cal,” head coach John Brooks said. “They are the defending National Champions and it will be a great opportunity for our women. We hope we can get a large crowd to come out and support us.”

Last weekend at the Pacific Invite, Alexandria Sorensen finished second in the women’s 50 in a time of 23.90. BYU was also led by Kassandra Bispo’s second-place and Londyn Clawson’s fourth-place finish in the 100 breast.

The Cougars last faced the Bears in 1998 with Cal winning 162-143. All-time, Cal holds a 4-0 mark in the series between the two schools.
