PROVO, Utah – After a week off, the BYU women’s tennis team will resume play as it hosts the Nevada Wolf Pack on Friday morning at 9 a.m. MST at the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts.

The Cougars (2-0) have played every match at home this season and will look to secure their first 3-0 start since 2006. BYU is 3-0 all-time when facing Nevada, including a 5-2 victory last year.

All three BYU doubles teams are undefeated so far this season.

Mackenna Maddox, Aubrey Paul, Nicolette Tran, Desiree Tran and Meghan Sheehan-Dizon have also won each of their singles matches this year. Desiree Tran is ranked No. 17 in the region this year.

Nevada (0-0) boasts two regionally ranked singles players in No. 14 Michelle Okhremchuck and No. 15 Emma Verberne. Both play together as a doubles team and are also ranked No. 4 in the mountain region.

The Wolf Pack compiled a 6-12 record last season.

The match was originally scheduled for play in Reno but was moved to Provo due to bad weather.

Admission is free and muffins will be provided.
