Cougar Netters to Play at Home

The BYU women's tennis team will stay home this week as they prepare to take on Colorado State and Purdue this weekend. The Cougars will also take on Mississippi on Monday.

The Cougars, ranked No. 46 in the nation, will take on Colorado State on Friday night at 5 p.m., Purdue on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. and Mississippi at 5 p.m. in the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts.

Jodi Richardson, ranked No. 53 in the nation, is playing well for the Cougars. Last week she helped BYU score both of their points against Northwestern University, defeating No. 80 Colleen Cheng in singles and teaming with Brooke Ferney to defeat Cheng and Jessica Rush in doubles.

The Purdue Boilermakers are ranked at No. 58 nationally, yet have no players that are currently ranked in the top 100.

Mississippi is ranked No. 19 in the nation, with two ranked players. Sophomores Julie DeRoo and Mira Radu are ranked No. 7 and No. 42, respectively. The Rams are not ranked.
