GAINESVILLE -- The No. 67 BYU women’s tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss at the hands of No. 8 Florida on Friday afternoon. With the loss the Cougars fall to 1-2 on the season.

The Gators won the doubles point with victories on courts one and three, despite a close 5-4 unfinished contest on court two between Kristina Doerr and Romina Nedakovic and Florida’s Lauren Embree and Anastasia Revzina.

In singles, Revzina secured the first point after defeating junior Liza Ezhova, 6-1, 6-2 to give Florida a 2-0 lead. The Cougars will prepare to face SMU, who dropped a 4-2 contest to Florida International, on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET in the Ring Tennis Complex.
