No. 9 BYU looks to continue win streak at San Diego

PROVO, Utah – No. 9 BYU women’s volleyball continues conference play on the road this week when they take on San Diego Friday.
Last week, the Cougars (16-2, 7-0 West Coast Conference) defeated Pacific and Saint Mary’s on the road, each in four sets. BYU remains at the top of the WCC as the only undefeated team left in league play and is on an 11-match win streak.
San Diego
- The Cougars face off against San Diego (12-7, 5-2 WCC) Friday at 7 p.m. PDT at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
- BYU swept then-No. 2 San Diego in the first matchup of 2013. The Toreros then beat the Cougars in a five-set thriller to close out the 2013 regular season and take the WCC title.
- San Diego is 5-3 all-time against BYU, with a 4-2 record since the Cougars joined the conference.
- The Toreros return just three starters to a 2013 squad that finished 26-4, 16-2 before advancing to the regional semifinals of the NCAA tournament.
