First-place battle for No. 8 BYU against No. 18 San Diego

PROVO, Utah – No. 8 BYU women’s volleyball faces off against No. 18 San Diego Friday night for a battle of first place in the West Coast Conference standings.
The Cougars (21-1, 10-0 WCC) currently sit one match ahead the Toreros (16-4, 9-1 WCC), having defeated them in four sets earlier this season in San Diego.
No. 18 San Diego
- BYU competes against San Diego Friday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. MDT at the Smith Fieldhouse.
- The Cougars hold a slight 8-7 advantage in the overall series history.
- BYU has won the past two meetings, but the two teams split the season series last year.
- The Toreros have won 12 of their past 13 matches, falling only to the Cougars along the way. BYU has won its past 13-straight matches.
There will be a Halloween ROC Party during the match with $1 Cougartails available to purchase for the general public.
