Prepped at Clovis West, where he was student body president and inter-school council president...was tailback and wide receiver...injured his senior year with a broken foot...voted to city-county all-star game.
Walked on and played with the junior varsity...had a 99-yard kickoff return against the Air Force junior varsity...had a punt return of 70-yards for a touchdown...traveled to the All-American Bowl.
Switched from running back to receiver and was a return specialist with junior varsity.
Moved back to running back...had BYU's longest kickoff return of the season on a 41-yard run vs. San Diego State...led the return specialists with 312 yards...playing time increased against Wyoming and Notre Dame...rushed three times in a four-play scoring drive vs. Air Force...had his first collegiate TD in that drive...Academic All-WAC.
