Before BYU
All-state, all-area, all-county and all-conference in football...an honor student at Shelley High...conference offensive player of the year...all-conference in basketball...competed in high jump and long jump on the track team...coached by Mike Harrigfeld (BYU).
Played on the junior varsity.
Played special teams...was second unit on varsity...had three tackles at UTEP.
Academic All-WAC...was second unit behind Scott Giles at outside linebacker...had two tackles at Penn State.
