Parents are Roland and Mary June Anderson...majoring in public relations with a minor in business...brother Tyler played during the 1988, 1991-93 seasons...served a Church mission to San Antonio, Texas (Spanish speaking)...Eagle Scout...recruited by Kansas State, Wyoming, Arizona State, Houston, Cal, Oregon State, Utah State, Southern Utah and Weber State...married Anne Stock in June 2001.
Before BYU
Graduated from Orem High School in 1995 as a three-year letterwinner...helped lead team to a second-place finish in the state playoffs as a junior and a state title as a senior...also a three-year letterwinner in track...participated in the 100 and 200-meter events, as well as a member of the 4x100-meter relay team...finished fourth in the state in the 100-meters as a senior.
Earned second-team all-region honors as a freshman at Ricks College, following his Church mission...did not compete as a sophomore due to injury.

Earned All-MWC Academic honors...competed in 10 regular-season games...a significant contributor on the Cougars' top-ranked offense...averaged 8.3 yards per reception...recorded 11 receptions for 91 yards on the season...credited with a season-high three receptions at New Mexico...posted a season-high 20 yards on two receptions at UNLV...recovered a fumble in the endzone for a touchdown against UNLV...had one kick return for 14 yards against Nevada.
Saw action in 11 games during his final season...credited with 11 receptions for 113 yards during the season...tallied a season-high 28 yards on two receptions at Air Force...recorded a season-long reception of 22 yards against New Mexico...averaged 10.3 yards per reception.
