Born May 1986 in Salt Lake City, Utah ... parents are Richard and Julie Orr ... oldest of five children ... started playing volleyball in junior high after attending a camp directed by former BYU coach Carl McGown ... enjoys skiing, football, basketball, and spending time with friends and family ... plans to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the summer of 2005 ... an Eagle Scout.

Before BYU

Played at Skyline High School under Wally Madsen ... named all-state three years and state MVP his junior and senior years ... helped Skyline win two state titles ... played with the Players VBC club team under Justin Hutchins ... named to the all-tournament team junior at Junior Olympics ... club team went to Russia for the Moscow-Utah summer games in 2003 ... also lettered in football ... all-state his senior year.
