WOLCOTT, Colo. — BYU women’s golf trails East Tennessee State by four shots through 14 holes in the second round of the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Wolcott, Colorado.

After playing just a few holes, a storm surrounding the Red Sky Golf Club forced the Cougars into a rain delay that stopped play for almost five hours. The tournament resumed play at 4 p.m. MDT and BYU played what they could of the rain soaked second round before darkness set in.

Kerstin Fotu sits alone in second place and is even par in round two through 11 holes. Allysha Mae Mateo maintained her 1-under par standing after posting even par through 13 holes of her second round and finds herself in the top-10.

Annick Haczkiewicz shot 3-over par through her first 12 holes and is tied for 17th at even par for the tournament.

After 14 holes in her second round, Lila Galeai is 1-over par and is tied for 49th with teammate Addie Anderson. Anderson is 3-over par through 13 holes of the second 18.

BYU is 3-under and sits in third place behind East Tennessee and Denver who are 7-under and 6-under respectively.  BYU holds a two shot lead over Northern Arizona who is in 4th place at 1-under and a five shot advantage over Washington State who sits in fifth at 2-over-par.

The Cougars will finish their second round Wednesday morning. Due to the rain delay today and the forecasted rain tomorrow, the event has been shortened to 36-holes. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com
