The BYU divers returned from California after spending the weekend competing at the Trojan Invitational.

“I think we dove pretty well this weekend,” BYU dive coach Keith Russell said. “We didn't do as good as we could have and we could have placed a bit higher, but all in all I feel that it was a successful weekend. Its good to see some harder competition and gauge where we need to be.

“We have the Wildcat diving invite coming up soon and we're really looking forward to that. That's a big meet for us every year and we hope to place really well this year so that's what we're going to focus on right now."

All-American Brandon Watson placed second in the men’s 3-meter with a preliminary score of 374.15 and a final of 411.10. Teammate Kevin Dreesen finished fourth place with a prelim score of 358.60 and a final of 330.45.

Dayna Christensen took ninth place in the women’s 1-meter competition with her prelim score of 240.65 and a final of 233.10.

For the women, Christensen finished ninth with a prelim score of 240.65 and a final of 233.10 for the 3-meter competition.
