Playing Career
- Selected as the team captain under two different coaches
- Teamed up with brother Beau Bernstein putting together one of the best doubles records in program history, earning them a top ITA NCAA doubles ranking

Along with brother Beau Bernstein were the only American players for UTPA to ever make the Southland All-Conference Team
- Former UTPA head men’s tennis coach, Chris Taylor: “Brett was a senior when I took over the men's program at UTPA and I could not have asked for a better leader on that team. It was that level of commitment that provided dividends as he garnered First-team All-Conference for both his play and his academics.”
Coaching Career
- University of North Carolina Greensboro (Assistant Coach, 2012-2014; Associate Head Coach, 2014)
- In his first season with UNCG, he helped two of the Spartan doubles teams earn an ITA NCAA national ranking as well as putting seven student athletes onto the 2013 SoCon All-Conference team.
- In 2013-14, he helped guide the UNCG men's tennis team to the 2014 SoCon semifinals and worked in helping three student-athletes be selected to the SoCon All-Conference team.
