During his first two years, Warren helped guide BYU to two of its best seasons in team history. The 2010 and 2011 Cougar squad both finished with a BYU record-tying 21 wins, going 21-7 and 21-6, respectively.

In 2010, Warren helped the Cougars earn their first Conference title since 2003. The Cougars went on to win both the MWC Regular Season Championship and MWC Tournament Title in 2011.

BYU found itself in the top 25 in 2010 for the first time in over 30 years. The 2010 season also marked the first time a Cougar team had ended the season ranked in the top 60 since 1997. The 2010 and 2011 team each finished their respective seasons No. 36 in the national polls.

Warren’s perfect record against regional opponents (18-0) over the past two seasons helped him earn the 2011 Mountain Region Assistant Tennis Coach of the Year, making him a candidate for the National Assistant Coach of the Year.

Before his hiring as an assistant coach, Warren played collegiate tennis for BYU during the 04-05 and 05-06 seasons. After his playing days, he served as the team manager for the Cougars for one year, working closely with coaches and players to promote the program and improve fan experience. Prior to his playing and coaching experience at BYU, Warren was an instructor for BYU tennis camps as well as the summer camp director for Rolling Hills Club.

Warren graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a business minor. His wife Angela is a former All-American track athlete for BYU, the two of them reside in Provo.
