Live Stats and Draws

“The regional is a great opportunity for all of our players to see how they measure up against the best players in the Mountain Region,” BYU head coach Brad Pearce said.

Sargeant enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed and will play his second-round match Wednesday at 4 p.m. Goryachkov received the No. 14 seed and will start his tournament at 2 p.m. Monroe is coming off his singles championship at the Utah Intercollegiate and is seeded as the No. 18 seed. He will also open play at 4 p.m.

All other Cougars play first-round matches Wednesday morning. Robin Pfister and Juan Canales play at 10 a.m. Aidan Carrazedo, Victor Brown and David Ball open the tournament at 11:30 a.m. Jacob Sullivan is on the court at 12:45 p.m. and Jeremy Bourgeois rounds out BYU’s first-round matches at 1 p.m.

“They play multiple matches in both doubles and singles so it’s also a great opportunity to see what’s working in their games,” Pearce said. “It is a chance to see what their strengths and weaknesses are. Competition is the only way these things are discovered.”

All 10 Cougars will also compete in the doubles draw. Monroe and Pfister team up as the No. 9 seed in the draw while the duo of Sargeant and Goryachkov is the No. 5 seed. Both doubles duos will play their first matches Thursday after a first-round bye. Brown and Carrazedo, Ball and Sullivan, and Bourgeois and Canales all play first-round matches Wednesday at 9 a.m.

“This tournament is invaluable to our preparation for our regular season come January,” Pearce said.
