The senior from Kaysville finished fourth place overall in the 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships, claiming All-America honors in both. His time of 7:52.51 at the MPSF Indoor Championships is the eighth-fastest in school history.

In the outdoor season, Ward posted the seventh-fastest time in the nation in the 5,000 meters, a 13.34.74 at the Mt. San Antonio College Relays. His time was good for fourth in school in school history.

The Curtis Pugsley Award is given to one men’s and one women’s athlete annually, based on a scoring system that takes top finishes, school records and other awards and mentions into account. Ward joined Andrea Harrison as 2014 Athlete of the Year.
