No. 1 BYU returns home for regular-season finale matches vs. USC

PROVO, Utah – No. 1 BYU men’s volleyball returns home to the Smith Fieldhouse this week for its final regular-season matches against USC.
Last Time Out
The Cougars (21-3, 17-3 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) won both matches at then-No. 1 UCLA for the first time in program history. The wins keep BYU tied for first place in league play with Stanford.
USC
- The Cougars face off against USC (7-17, 5-15 MPSF) Friday, April 8, and Saturday, April 9, at 7 p.m. MDT.
- The Trojans are just 1-3 in their last four matches – falling at Stanford and Pepperdine before winning at home against UC San Diego and then falling against UC Irvine.
- USC currently sits at 11th in the conference standings and are just one match behind CSUN, Cal Baptist and UC Irvine in league play.
- BYU holds the advantage in the overall series history 34-13 and is 20-4 at home when facing USC. The two teams met three times last season, splitting the regular-season matches in Los Angeles before the Trojans won a five-set match in the MPSF tournament quarterfinals to end the Cougars’ season.
