Born in Plano ... parents are David and Jolene ... MVP of BYU summer camp 2004 ... named the relief ace for the Texas Collegiate League All-League Team in the summer of 2006 as well as playing in the TCL Brookshire-McCormick's All-Star Game... serves as a member of the Cougar Council representing all BYU student-athletes.
Before BYU
Was an all-district outfielder for three years at Allen High where he was coached by Paul Pool ... was also all-district in football ... played summer ball for the Texas Stars ... coached by Scott Livingstone.

Fanned his first two batters in the 7th, with no outs and runners on second and third to record his second save in a 10-5 victory over New Mexico when he registered a season-high five strikeouts ... hit a home run at Southern Utah ... his first save of the season came against Northern Colorado ... pitched a season-high of 5.1 innings against TCU in Provo ... only start was at Utah Valley State.
Missed most of the season due to an arm injury ... picked up his save by pitching the final two innings of a 6-5 victory at Cal State Northridge ... team co-captain.
