Pitched 67.2 innings for six saves, a 1-4 record and a 3.46 ERA in 24 appearances last season ... also struck out 55 and walked 18 ... his saves came at Alabama, at UNLV, vs. Southern Utah, vs. Utah and two vs. Air Force ... his victory was in the final regular season game over New Mexico when he went the nine-inning distance to earn MWC Pitcher of the Week honors ... he threw 98 pitches in that UNM game and had a no-hitter through five innings ... struck out six in three innings at Alabama to earn his first save.

Posted an 11-2 record in 1999 at Long Beach City College with a team best 2.73 ERA in 18 appearances, 16 starts, eight complete games, and 135.1 innings...recorded 134 strikeouts (36 called) last season along with 21 walks, one save, and 17 batters hit by pitches...picked seven runners off base...was All-South Coast Conference first team with a 7-1 record, 91 strikeouts and 83.1 innings...was 3-2 with a 1.00 ERA in 18 innings in 1996 at LBCC and batted .299 as a second baseman...was second-team All-SCC as a utility player in 1996...selected to the All-Southern California and Junior College All-America squads...has a wicked slider...was twice drafted by the Atlanta Braves.
