• Prepped at American Fork High School where he was coached by Jarod Ingersoll
• First team All-State by the Salt Lake Tribune and the Deseret News in 2012
• Utah State 5A All-Tournament team
• Utah State and Utah Valley All-Star
• Team won Utah State 5A Championship in 2012 and was runnerup as a junior
• Utah Valley 5A Pitcher of the Year
• Pitched a no-hit shut-out in 2012 state tournament
• Posted an 8-1 record with a 1.65 ERA in 2012 and had a 13-2 career prep record
• Two-time all-region
• Pitched a no-hitter vs. Bingham in 2012
• Academic all-region as a junior and senior
• Played summer ball for the Utah Marshalls
• Recruited by Seattle, College of Southern Nevada, College of Southern Idaho and SLCC
