Personal

  • Began playing tennis at the age of six when his father took him to a club and provided lessons
  • Favorite thing about tennis is that he has to depend on himself

Pearce's Comments: "Richard had a great record as a junior college player. He's just getting back into the 'swing' of things after sitting out last season. He is a great competitor and has a solid all-around game. I believe he will win some big matches for us when it matters."

Before BYU

  • Sat out the 2002-03 season as a transfer from the College of the Desert in southern California
  • At the College of the Desert, Dasek finished ranked No. 4 in singles and No. 1 on doubles for all junior colleges in Southern Calif.
