Brent Anderson is entering his fourth season in 2020 with the BYU women's soccer team as an assistant coach after joining in January 2017.
Upon his hiring, he said, "I am humbled by this new opportunity and excited about the prospect of working with Jen (Rockwood) and Aleisha (Rose) at BYU. Jen has built a successful and accomplished program and I'm hoping to contribute positively to its success."
Formerly the women's soccer head coach at Utah Valley, Anderson compiled a 110-100-14 record with the Wolverines. He led them to their first NCAA tournament appearance in 2015 after a program-record 14 wins and a Western Athletic Conference title. He guided Utah Valley to a then-record 13 wins in 2014. Prior to that, Anderson was named Great Western Conference Coach of the Year in all four years that league existed.
In his time with the Wolverines, Anderson coached 51 all-conference honorees and 95 academic all-conference award winners.
Anderson is from Logan, Utah and is an alumnus of Utah State, where he played four years of club soccer as a goalkeeper and then became an assistant coach after graduating.
He and his wife Kathy have four children.
