PROVO, Utah - Five Cougars were named to All-West Coast Conference teams on Tuesday for their play during the 2013 season.

Senior goalkeeper Erica Owens was named the WCC Goalkeeper of the Year. Cloee Colohan and Rachel Manning were both named to the All-WCC First Team, while Paige Hunt and Owens were named to the All-WCC Second Team. Ashley Hatch was named an All-WCC Honorable Mention and was also put on the WCC All-Freshman Team.

Owens led the West Coast Conference in goals against average (.38), save percentage (.889) and shutouts with six.

Colohan was fourth in the conference in shots, tied for eighth in goals with three and tied for eighth in points with eight. Colohan was named to the All-WCC First Team last year, was an All-WCC Honorable Mention in 2011 at Portland and was an All-WCC Second Team selection in 2010 also at Portland.

Manning set a career high with four goals this season in addition to her and Colohan's dominant play in midfield for the Cougars. Manning was named to the All-WCC Second Team last season and was an All-WCC Honorable Mention in 2011.

Hunt played every game at center back this season, was a big part of allowing the fewest goals in the WCC and also recorded two goals and two assists.

Hatch led the conference in assists in conference play with five. She also added two goals in WCC play. This is the third year BYU has had a player named to the All-WCC Freshman Team. Jaiden Thornock and Michele Murphy were named in the previous two seasons.

Earlier in the week, collegesportsmadness.com named Colohan to its All-American Fourth Team. Its All-WCC Team included Colohan and Hunt on the First Team, as well as Hatch and Owens on the Second Team. Hatch was also named the WCC Freshman of the Year by the website.
