Ten Cougars make WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – BYU women's soccer placed 10 players on the West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2013-14 school year. This was the third time, seniors Annie Amos and Jaiden Thornock made the honor roll. Marissa Nimmer and Sarah Chambers both made it for the second straight season. The other six were first-time honorees.

Chambers led the Cougars in GPA for the second straight year with a 3.90 GPA. This year she was joined by three freshmen who earned gold honors, Ella Johnson, Kayci Griffin and Brittain Dearden. Miranda Bailey and Elena Medeiros earned silver honors, while Amos, Thornock, Nimmer and Ashley Hatch earned bronze honors.

Honor roll honorees were student-athletes who averaged 12 credit hours, lettered for their team and earned a cumulative GPA for the year of 3.00 or above. For the full release go to the WCC website.

The Cougars will begin their fall season with the Blue/White game on Aug. 13 at South Field.
