PROVO, Utah – West Coast Conference champion and No. 15 BYU women's soccer travels to face No. 12 Pepperdine on Saturday Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. PT.
The game will be broadcast on TheW.tv with Al Epstein and Jen Karson calling the game.
The Cougars (13-3-3, 7-0-1) clinched their third straight West Coast Conference title on Saturday with a 4-0 win over Pacific. While Saturday's game doesn't mean anything in the conference standings, the result could hold some sway in where teams end up in Monday's NCAA College Cup bracket.
BYU shut out its 10th opponent on Saturday as goalkeeper Katherine Snyder took over the league lead in GAA at 0.63. The Cougars are averaging three goals a game in conference play. Eight players have scored multiple goals for BYU this season and eight have multiple assists, as well. Ashley Hatch leads the conference in goals, while Niki Fernandes is tied for second in assists, Elena Medeiros is fourth in assists and Michele Murphy and Hatch are tied for fifth.
Pepperdine (14-2-3, 5-1-2) is just the second ranked opponent BYU will face this season after the Cougars beat Long Beach State to begin their current 13-game unbeaten streak.
The Waves beat LMU last weekend 3-1 but are 3-1-2 over their past six following a seven-game win streak. The Waves are 8-1-0 at home this season and their only loss was to San Diego. Pepperdine is led by senior forward Lynn Williams who has 12 goals and six assists in 18 games. Senior midfielder Ally Holtz leads the team with seven assists, while 12 different Waves have scored goals this season and 10 have assisted on goals. Sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Seabert has only allowed 12 goals in 19 games and the Waves have combined for 10 shutouts so far.
