BYU hosts UVU in UCCU Crosstown Clash Friday

PROVO, Utah – The BYU women's soccer team hosts Utah Valley on Friday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. MDT in the UCCU Crosstown Clash.

WINNING-STREAK SNAPPED. On Monday, the Cougars fell 3-1 at South Field to Long Beach State as their three-game win-streak ended. BYU had previously won games against Idaho State, Utah and Marquette.

OFFENSIVE LEADERS. Senior Madie Siddoway Gates and junior Elise Flake lead the offense with 10 points apiece after tallying four goals and two assists this season. Sophomore Mikayla Colohan has recorded three goals and three assists for eight points. Bella Folino has also found the back of the net three times and added an assist this season for seven points.

UTAH VALLEY. The Wolverines are coming off a 1-0 loss to Oklahoma, increasing UVU's losing streak to five games with the only win of the season coming against Cal Poly on Sept. 2. Six different players have scored one goal.

SERIES INFORMATION. BYU leads the series 3-0 after beating the Wolverines 3-0 at South Field in 2017.
