PALO ALTO -- All-American Oli Keohohou hit a three-run game winning home run in the seventh inning, her 14th of the season, as BYU came back to beat No. 2 Stanford 5-4 in the second game of a double header. The Cougars lost the first game 6-3 and are now 19-11 on the season. Stanford lost for just the third time all season and drop to 27-3.

In the first game, Cynthia Fallowfield (10-5) pitched five innings in the loss. Keohohou went 1-2 with a walk and a run scored. Arron Layns also went 1-2 while Lauren Watson went 1-3 with a run scored. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak.

In the second game, sophomore Ariel Capra (6-2) allowed eights hits and four runs (two earned) in the win for the Cougars. Watson, a freshman, went 2-3 and had a home run with two RBI. Keohohou went 2-4 with three RBI while sophomore Kate Walker went 2-3. Holding on to a 5-4 lead in the bottom of seventh inning, the Cardinal had runners on first and second base with no outs, but the Cougar's defense was able to hold off any last minute runs and retired the inning for the victory. The Cougars are now 4-4 against top 25 teams on the season.

"This was a great win for us and our program," said head coach Mary Kay Amicone.

Up next for the Cougars is a double-header against in-state rival Utah State Wednesday, Mar. 27 at 2 p.m. at Gail Miller field.
