Coaching Career
- Has helped coach the team to a WCC championship and NCAA regionals appearance in each of his seasons at BYU
- Coached All-American, 2015, 2016 and 2017 WCC Pitcher of the Year and four-time NFCA All-Region honoree McKenna Bull
- BYU has won 36 WCC Pitcher of the Week honors since 2014, including a program-best 11 in 2017
- Helped the BYU pitchers earn the WCC Pitcher of the Year every year since 2015 (McKenna Bull 2015-17, Kerisa Viramontes 2018 and Arissa Paulson 2019)
- Since becoming the pitching coach at BYU, he has helped the team pitch 66 shutouts and in his first four seasons at BYU, the team pitched 49 shutouts, increasing the number each season: five in 2014, 11 in 2015, 14 in 2016 and 19 in 2017
- Helped guide BYU to a No.21/20 finish in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and NCAA Women's Softball RPI in 2017
- The Cougars have thrown four no-hitters, including two in 2016
- The pitching staff has averaged 326.6 strikeouts per season in Meredith's time at BYU

Playing Career
- Inducted into the ASA/USA National Softball Hall of Fame Class of 2016
- 12-time ASA All-American
- Pitched the U.S. to a gold medal at the 1988 World Championships
- Won silver at 1995 Pan American Games
- Played professional men's fastpitch for Sportsman Enterprises, Dave Frye Plastering, Farm Tavern, Trans Aire International and Larry Miller Toyota
- Meredith pitched in a record 23 consecutive International Softball Congress World Tournaments
- Set records for most tournament wins (61), no hitters (8), strikeouts in a tournament (100) and strikeouts in a game (21)
- Also holds the record for most wins in ASA/USA Championship play (55-27)
- Named to the All-World Team seven times, Team USA four times
- Inducted into the International Softball Congress Hall of Fame in 2007
- Of his ASA playing career Bill Plummer, longtime communications coordinator of the ASA, said, "Peter Meredith was one of greatest pitchers in the history of the Amateur Softball Association and the International Softball Congress. In the ASA, Meredith holds the record for most wins in ASA national championship play, compiling a 55-27 record before retiring from Major competition in 2002. He also shares the record for most wins in one Men's Major National Championship with eight in 1988 for Trans-Aire of Elkhart, Ind. and is the record holder for most innings pitched in one national tourney (88) in that same national championship. In that 1988 national championship, Meredith fanned 138 batters, second best in ASA history, and between 1988-1989 he hurled 50 2/3 innings without allowing an earned run. In 1998, Meredith won a record tying six games in leading the USA National Team to the ISF World Championship in Saskatchewan, beating his native country, New Zealand, 4-0, in the gold medal game. In 1995, he was a member of the USA Pan American team that finished second behind Canada in Parana, Argentina."
