McKenna Bull named NFCA All-American

OKLAHOMA CITY – After an outstanding senior season, pitcher McKenna Bull was named an NFCA Third Team All-American on Wednesday.

Bull is BYU’s first All-American since 2013 when Gordy Bravo was on the Easton All-American First Team. She is the first to be an NFCA All-American since Delaney Willard in 2012, who was a first team selection. Bull was one of 55 student athletes from 36 different institutions to be selected.

Bull had a phenomenal season to cap off her BYU career. She was named to the NFCA All-Pacific Region Third Team in addition to being named West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year. She was also on the All-WCC First Team and was the WCC Pitcher of the Week nine times. Against top-25 teams, Bull picked up three wins, upsetting Washington, Georgia and Utah.

During the Cougars’ 22-game win streak, Bull pitched 57-2-straight scoreless innings, smashing the BYU record by 33 innings. She broke BYU single-season records for ERA (1.37) and shutouts (12). Against Miami, she broke the BYU career strikeout record, finishing her career with 978. She also broke the BYU career wins record against Dartmouth and has 107 in her career.
