Bobby Horodyski enters his third season as the director of basketball operations for BYU men's basketball.

During his first two season in Provo, BYU has won 44 games including 20 in the 2020-21 where they made the NCAA Tournament as a No. 6 seed.

Horodyski came to BYU after working as director of basketball operations at Utah Valley under Mark Pope from 2015-19. While at UVU, he helped the Wolverines improve from 12 wins in 2015-16 to a program-record 25 victories in 2018-19. During his tenure, UVU made three-straight postseason appearances (2017, 2018, 2019) and registered back-to-back 20-win seasons (2017-18, 2018-19) – both program records.

The Wolverines also set several offensive records from 2015-19. UVU rewrote the top four spots in scoring average in the school record book, including a record 78.1 points per game in 2017-18. The Wolverines also claimed four of the top five spots for 3-point field goals made while setting the record with 300 in 2016-17.

Prior to UVU, Horodyski was a graduate assistant at Wyoming for two years under head coach Larry Shyatt. In two seasons, Horodyski helped Wyoming to a record of 44-25 and back-to-back postseason appearances. In 2013-14, the Cowboys finished 19-15 and received an invitation to the CBI. In 2014-15, Wyoming won 25 games and claimed the Mountain West Tournament title to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Horodyski began his collegiate career at Marshall where he played his freshman season. He transferred to University of Central Florida where he served as a manager for one year before playing his junior and senior seasons for Donnie Jones. Horodyski helped the Knights to back-to-back 20-win seasons and a bid to the NIT in 2012. He was a team captain as a senior in 2012-13.

Horodyski earned his undergraduate degree in finance at UCF in 2013 and a master’s in communications at Wyoming in 2015. He is married to Dr. Laura Ann Zdziarski-Horodyski, an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine.
