Brad Kitchen prepped at Springville High School in Springville, Utah from 2009-2013. He was awarded a varsity letter three times. During his senior year, he helped lead the Red Devils to a 17-5 record, the best in almost two decades. During his senior year he led his team in scoring, rebounds and assists with 15.8 PPG, 5.5 RPG and 2.9 APG. He was selected to the 4A Academic All-State team.

After High School, Kitchen served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Mozambique Maputo Mission.

After his mission, Brad enrolled at Utah Valley University in the Fall of 2015. He graduated in the Spring of 2020 with his BS in Civil Engineering.

He joined the men’s basketball staff at UVU as the head manager for the 2018-2019 season, when the Wolverines set a school record for most wins in a season (25). After a coaching change, Brad was awarded a walk-on spot on the 2019-2020 season at UVU. He was later awarded a full-scholarship after a road win against WAC conference foe, Grand Canyon. Their season was cut short due to the onset of COVID-19.

Post-graduation, Kitchen joined the BYU men’s basketball staff as a graduate assistant of operations. He played a significant role in the operations of the team during an unprecedented COVID-19 year, helping the team reach its first NCAA tournament bid in five years. He currently is enrolled in the masters of mass communications program at BYU.

Brad is the son of Chris and Denice Kitchen. His siblings are Annie, Scott and Katie.
