Player Notes
Matt Carlino was the leading scorer when the first team players were split apart and combined. He scored 14 in the first half and 17 in the second.
Kyle Collinsworth did the same in assists, dishing out three in the first half and four in the second.
Eric Mika was one rebound away from doing the same as he grabbed eight boards in the first half and five in the second, one behind Kyle Collinsworth and Josh Sharp in the second.
Frank Bartley IV and Skyler Halford led the team in steals over both halves. Each of them swiped two.
Three different Cougars threw one down on Wednesday night. Eric Mika in both the first half and second, Frank Bartley in the first half off a steal and Tyler Haws in the first half after pushing the ball after a made free throw on the other end.
The seven newcomers played well in both halves. Mika led all new scorers with 19 points, 10 in the second half. He also was the leading rebounder with 13. Skyler Halford scored 17, Bartley scored five, Andrew Johnston 10, Luke Worthington four and Graham Pingree three. Transfer Chase Fischer, who will sit out this year, scored 11 and dished out five assists. Worthington pulled down six boards, while Bartley and Pingree each had four.

Team Notes
BYU had six different players record a block (Anson Winder, Carlino, Mika, Bartley, Collinsworth and Pingree).
The white team went on a 12-0 run in the second half as part of a greater 36-15 run over the final 9:22. Tyler Haws scored six of his 14 points during the run that made it 40-26 after it was 28-26. Mika added four points of his own to the run, while Sharp added two. The biggest runs for either team in the first half were only five and seven points long.
Trends
Seven players played double digit minutes in the second half (all five starters, Mika, Sharp, Collinsworth, Haws, Carlino, as well as Halford and Bartley).
The sixth man was originally Frank Bartley, subbing for Sharp at 17:08 after the half. Halford came off the bench as the second sixth man, subbing for Carlino with 5:33 left after the starters had played together for a minute and everyone but Mika for three minutes before that.
Mika and Luke Worthington were only ever subbed for one another. Bartley subbed in for Haws and Sharp. Collinsworth, Carlino, Winder, Halford all subbed in or came out for another in the group.
BYU head coach Dave Rose used 13 different lineup combinations on Wednesday night. The starters played for a combined 3:56 together in the second half. The second most used lineup included Collinsworth, Winder, Halford, Bartley and Mika. That group was on the floor for 2:46, while the starters with Worthington subbed in for Mika were on the floor for 2:29. Worthington, Sharp, Winder, Bartley and Halford were on the floor together for 2:13 to close out the second half. Those groups were the only ones to last more than two minutes together in the game.
