BOSTON, Mass. – BYU senior guard Kyle Collinsworth has been named to the Lute Olson All-America Team and a candidate for the Lute Olson Award.

This marks the first All-America citation for Collinsworth, whose six triple-doubles in 2014-15 set the NCAA single-season record and tied the career record. The Provo, Utah, native has also been named first-team All-West Coast Conference, first-team All-District by the United States Basketball Writers Association and second-team All-District by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

For the season, Collinsworth was second on the team in scoring at 13.8 points per game while leading the way in rebounding (8.7), assists (6.0) and steals (1.8) per game. He finished the 2014-15 season as the only player in the country ranked among the top 75 in rebounds, assists and steals.

The Lute Olson Award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I player who has played at least two seasons. The finalists for the award also represent the Lute Olson All-America team. Freshman are not eligible for the award, but may be named to the team.

The award is named in honor of Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson, who won 780 games in 34 seasons, 24 of which were spent at the University of Arizona. During that stretch he led the Wildcats to 11 Pac-10 Conference titles, 23 consecutive NCAA Tournaments, four Final Four appearances and a National Championship in 1997.

The 2015 recipient will be announced at the CollegeInsider.com Awards Banquet on April 3 in Indianapolis, site of the 2015 men's NCAA Basketball Championship.
