BYU vs. Gonzaga Game Notes

No. 3 seed BYU basketball will face No. 2 seed Gonzaga in the semifinals of the 2016 West Coast Conference Championships Monday at 8:30 p.m. PST in the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The winner of BYU vs. Gonzaga will face the winner of No. 1 seed Saint Mary's and No. 4 seed Pepperdine on Tuesday.

Monday's game will be televised live on ESPN2 and broadcast live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network, KSL NewsRadio 102.7 FM/1160 AM and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143. Live video streaming will be available on WatchESPN.com.

BYU Storylines

• With Saturday’s 72-60 win over Santa Clara, BYU has advanced to the semifinals of the West Coast Conference Championships for the third-straight season and fourth time in five years. The Cougars will be playing Gonzaga for the fourth time in the WCC Championships and seeking their first win against the Bulldogs in Las Vegas.
• Freshmen Nick Emery and Zac Seljaas each hit 3 3s against Santa Clara and combined for 27 points. Over the last four games, the duo has combined to hit 22 3s, including 12 from Emery and 10 from Seljaas.
• BYU collected several accolades when the West Coast Conference honors were announced last week. Senior Kyle Collinsworth was named the WCC Player of the Year and first-team All-WCC. Fellow senior Chase Fischer was also named to the First Team while freshman Nick Emery was named to the Second and Freshman Teams.
