Head coach Dave Rose
“I think that what we did expect was for Wisconsin to shoot the ball well since that is what they have done well. They are an extremely patient team and have five shooters on the floor at all times. This season for us, we haven’t faced that yet.”
On Wisconsin’s 3-point shooting:
“We were denying them on the wings and forcing them further out. There were critical times where we needed to score and we didn’t. Or we needed to get a stop and we didn’t and it turned into the game what it was. We need to be a lot more consistent with our play through the game to beat a team like that.”
On the physicality of the game:
“Wisconsin is good and the post guys are really physical and will play with their body. The officials were going to let the game be physical. That’s a game where you have to toughen up and play through contact, catch through contact and rebound through contact. We will have a lot of opportunities to see where we didn’t do that on film and learn from it do better.”
On Noah Hartsock:
“Noah is really, really competing. I think our players are starting to rely on him in crucial possessions and times. I think the role that he will play on this team is being established,. He’s a guy we need to have big nights from scoring and rebounding the ball. The better he plays the more our team can rely on him.”
