Specific transfer regulations have been established by both the West Coast Conference and by the NCAA. A student-athlete wishing to transfer into or out of BYU must be granted a release from the BYU Compliance Office before permission to contact will be granted. In order to obtain this release form, student-athletes must begin by speaking to their head coach. Student-athletes do have a right to appeal a request, if they are denied. Transfers can fall into several categories. The following charts detail some of the rules for specific types of transfers.
